Schisandra CO₂ Total Extract comes from the dried fruits of Schisandra sphenanthera using supercritical carbon dioxide to extract the oil. This produces a concentrated brown oily extract containing the essential oils plus fatty oil fractions, and a rich profile of bioactive lignans. These lignans are highly valued for their calming, anti inflammatory, photoprotective, and barrier strengthening properties.

This oil extract is ideal for skincare designed to support sensitive, reactive, or environmentally stressed skin. It offers soothing, antioxidant, and protective benefits and fits well into modern, high performance natural formulations.

Why This Extract Is Unique

This total CO₂ extract contains all key components of the fruit, including:

  • essential oil

  • fatty constituents

  • unsaponifiables

  • full spectrum lignans

Lignans such as deoxyschisandrin, gamma schizandrin, gomisin types, and anwulignan are responsible for the extract’s strong skin calming and protective actions.

It takes 8.3–11.1 kg of dried Schisandra fruit to produce 1 kg of extract.
