Oudh, also known as Oud Attar or Oud Oil, is a prized aromatic oil derived from the resinous heartwood of the Agarwood tree (Aquilaria species). Renowned for its deep, woody, and complex scent, Oudh Attar has been cherished for centuries in traditional perfumery and is a true treasure for fragrance connoisseurs. It is often referred to as “liquid gold” due to its rarity and luxurious aroma. Our Oudh Attar is meticulously extracted using a combination of traditional and advanced methods that preserve the essence and integrity of this precious ingredient. The rich and intense fragrance unfolds with warm, smoky notes, interwoven with hints of sweetness and earthiness. An amazing fixitive with a base note. It is made from sustainably harvested wood.

Sustainable Harvest

The process of agarwood formation occurs when the Aquilaria trees are infected by a specific type of mould or through natural defence mechanisms triggered by external factors such as injury or insect infestation. This process leads to the development of the highly prized and aromatic resinous wood, which is used to extract Oudh oil. Laos, along with other countries in the region, plays a significant role in the production and trade of Oudh and Oudh-based products. The cultivation and sustainable management of Agarwood trees in Laos help support the conservation of this precious resource and provide a source of livelihood for local communities involved in the Oudh industry. This species is controlled by CITES regulation and the product we supply complies with the CITES regulation.
