Hay Absolute

$27.45

Hay Absolute has a powerful, suave, very sweet, diffusive, rich coumarin-like, faintly herbaceous aroma that is reminiscent of freshly cut hay, with a sweet jam-like undertone. It is diffusive, very tenacious, and makes an excellent addition to the perfumer's palette. Chandler Burr, once a perfume critic for the New York Times, calls Hay Absolute "One of the most sublime of all perfume materials. Hay is, as literally as possible, the smell of liquid summer sunlight." Perfumers, knowing that this fragrance is not quite appealing on its own, suggest that Hay needs a ‘support group’ of mossy and green nuances to bring out its best features.

This Hay Absolute comes with two diluted options that are 50% diulted in Perfumers Alcohol. Perfect for perfumery.

Botanical Name: Poaceae spp. / Foin coupé L.
Extraction Method: Solvent extraction
Source: Dried Hay Leaves
Soluble In: Alcohol
Note: Base to Middle Note
Origin: France

Aroma: Powerful, suave, extremely sweet, diffusive, rich coumarin-like, faintly herbaceous aroma of freshly cut hay, with a sweet jam-like undertone.

Blends Well With: Allspice, Amyris, Beeswax, Benzoin, Bergamot, Carnation, Carrot Seed, Cassia, Chamomile (Roman), Cinnamon, Cistus, Clary Sage, Clove, Cocoa, Coconut, Coriander, Fir (Balsam), Geranium, Helichrysum, Jasmine, Labdanum, Lavender, Lemon, Lime, Mandarin, Melissa, Myrrh, Neroli, Nutmeg, Oakmoss, Opopanax, Orange, Patchouli, Peppermint, Rose, Sandalwood, Tangerine, Tobacco, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Vetiver, Violet Leaf, Ylang Ylang.

It is completely alcohol soluble but has a thick consistency which would benefit from gently warming prior to use.

Safety Considerations: None known. Dilute before using. A patch test should be performed before use for those with sensitive skin.

Zurma Essential Oils - Highest Quality Pure and Natural

At Zurma we go to great lengths to ensure that we only sell the highest quality pure and natural essential oils. We have searched the world for the best essential oils. Our in-house quality control system ensures that this high standard is maintained for all our essential oils. Every essential oil comes with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer (GCMS) test to confirm that they are genuine and authentic essential oils containing their correct active constituents.

The only exception to this is with the New Zealand small scale essential oil producers we buy direct from e.g., Lavender, Mānuka, Kānuka, Tea Tree etc. This is because we know and trust these growers who distil their own essential oils.

Finally, all essential oils have to undergo our own in-house smell, appearance and feel test and if they are not up to our high standards, we simply send the product back to the supplier. Based on this quality control process we believe that the 100% Pure and Natural essential oils that Zurma supplies to our customers are of the highest quality and are excellent for use in aromatherapy.
