Frankincense Carteri CO₂ select Extract is a pale yellow, fluid resin extract produced from high quality Somali frankincense using gentle supercritical CO₂ extraction. This method preserves the most precious aromatic and bioactive compounds, giving a beautiful, rounded incense note with citrus brightness, warm resin tones, and soft woody sweetness.
This extract captures the deep, classic character of true frankincense with exceptional smoothness and nuance. Approximately 9 to 12.5 kg of resin is required to produce 1 kg of extract, demonstrating its concentration and purity.
Why CO₂ Frankincense Is Special
CO₂ select extraction captures a fuller aromatic spectrum than steam distillation, retaining:
-
monoterpenes
-
sesquiterpenes
-
diterpene alcohols such as serratol and incensole
These compounds support skin repair, emotional grounding, respiratory comfort, and luxury perfumery work.
The aroma is richer, deeper, and truer to the raw resin than distilled frankincense.
