Extracted from high-quality Somali frankincense resin using advanced, gentle supercritical CO₂ technology, this premium Frankincense Carterii CO2 Extract captures the absolute full spectrum of the botanical’s aromatic and bioactive compounds. Unlike traditional steam distillation, this highly specialised, solvent-free extraction method successfully retains precious diterpene alcohols—such as serratol and incensole—resulting in a profoundly rich, beautifully rounded incense note with bright citrus nuances and soft woody sweetness that remains incredibly true to the raw resin.

In luxury cosmetic formulation and natural perfumery, this pale yellow, fluid resin extract is highly sought after as a deeply restorative botanical active and an excellent base note fixative. It is exceptionally comforting for dry, mature, or environmentally stressed skin profiles, serving as a powerful foundation in premium facial serums, intensive balms, and soothing creams. By helping to condition the epidermis and support a smooth, calm complexion, it serves as an unparalleled botanical agent for promoting radiant, healthy-looking skin.

Skincare Ritual & Well-being Applications: Within a holistic self-care routine, Frankincense Carterii CO2 is revered as a profound tool for emotional grounding and spiritual clarity. Incorporating 1–2 drops of this exquisite, deep-reaching extract into your ceramic diffuser instantly transforms your space into a calming sanctuary, ideal for meditation, easing daily overwhelm, and fostering inner peace. When diluted into a rich nighttime facial oil, taking the time to slowly massage these warm, centring notes into the skin transforms a functional moisturising step into a deliberate, restorative daily ritual that actively honours both your skin's natural resilience and your emotional well-being.

Formulation & Safety Guidelines:

Application: Designed as a highly concentrated botanical active for advanced cosmetic formulation, natural perfumery, atmospheric diffusion, and targeted skincare blends.

Formulation Note: As a highly concentrated CO2 extract, this product should not be applied neat (undiluted) to the skin. It must be seamlessly blended into a suitable carrier oil (such as Jojoba, Sweet Almond, or Camellia) or a cosmetic emulsion prior to application. We recommend a general skincare dilution rate of 0.5% to 3%, or up to 5% in targeted body balms.

Storage: To preserve its highly complex portfolio of botanical compounds and deep aromatic notes, ensure containers are kept tightly closed and stored in a cool, dark environment away from direct UV exposure and extreme heat.

Safety: For external cosmetic and atmospheric use only. Do not ingest under any circumstances. Always dilute properly before application. We strictly recommend performing a patch test on a small area of skin prior to full application. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under medical care, please consult a healthcare professional before incorporating this potent extract into your routine.

Zurma Essential Oils - Highest Quality Pure and Natural

At Zurma we go to great lengths to ensure that we only sell the highest quality pure and natural essential oils. We have searched the world for the best essential oils. Our in-house quality control system ensures that this high standard is maintained for all our essential oils. Every essential oil comes with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer (GCMS) test to confirm that they are genuine and authentic essential oils containing their correct active constituents.

The only exception to this is with the New Zealand small scale essential oil producers we buy direct from e.g., Lavender, Mānuka, Kānuka, Tea Tree etc. This is because we know and trust these growers who distil their own essential oils.

Finally, all essential oils have to undergo our own in-house smell, appearance and feel test and if they are not up to our high standards, we simply send the product back to the supplier. Based on this quality control process we believe that the 100% Pure and Natural essential oils that Zurma supplies to our customers are of the highest quality and are excellent for use in aromatherapy.
