This premium quality Chocolate Absolute is a heavenly scented absolute, with a bit of spice and an amazingly potent deep chocolate aroma that is very rich and complex. It is an excellent aromatic for uplifting the spirit and inspiring sensual creativity. Cacao has long been thought of as a natural medicine. Cacao is known to open the heart chakra, healing on the physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. Research shows that smelling cacao can help reduce levels of stress and anxiety.

This Chocolate Absolute is produced in France from raw, dried cacao beans and is ultra-rich & very thick product. It truly has a quite wonderful roasted chocolaty cocoa aroma - very much like New Zealand's Whittaker's Chocolate.

This Cacao absolute can be used with confidence as a rich middle note in all 'love' blends. Sensual, heady, delicious and intriguing, Cacao is an excellent choice of an ingredient also for aphrodisiacal formulations. Cacao is a 'potentiator', enhancing the character of the other essential oils with which it is blended.

Blends fabulously with essential oils of Vanilla, Peppermint, Rose, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Sandalwood, Tuberose, Tangerine, Wild Orange, and Dark Patchouli.

**Note that while Chocolate Absoulte is perfect in creams and with other essential oils, it will sometime separate from fixed oils.

Contraindications:

  • Avoid Undiluted Use: Never apply "neat" to the skin; it is highly concentrated and can cause severe irritation or contact dermatitis.

  • Pet Toxicity: Keep strictly away from dogs and cats. The theobromine content is toxic to animals, even in small amounts.

  • Stimulant Sensitivity: Contains trace caffeine and theobromine, which may trigger anxiety, insomnia, or palpitations in sensitive individuals.

  • Pregnancy & Nursing: Exercise caution and consult a qualified professional, particularly during the first trimester.

  • Staining Risk: Due to its thick, dark pigments, it can permanently stain clothing, upholstery, and light-colored linens.

  • Cardiac Conditions: Those with heart arrhythmias or hyperthyroidism should use with caution due to the presence of natural stimulants.
