German Chamomile CO2 extracted oil is a powerful Anti-inflammatory that is mainly used in topical applications for its analgesic effects. This oil has greater Anti-inflammatory properties than steam distilled Roman & German Chamomiles due to it containing a higher percentage of Matricin (approximately 1-3%) which has very effective an anti-inflammatory properties. The CO2 extract also features an aroma that many prefer to that of the steam distilled essential oil. The CO2 distillation of German Chamomile contains all the properties of German Chamomile Essential oil. However, German Chamomile CO2 is one of the only sources of the very important anti-inflammatory component Matricin which has significantly stronger anti-inflammatory properties than the Chamazulene typically found in Roman & German steam distilled essential oils.
