Blackcurrant Bud Absolute
Blackcurrant absolute is a dark green syrup with a thick treacle consistency. It has a fruity scent with sulphurous and catty animalic undertones, giving it a long-lasting, powerful aroma.
Botanical name: Ribes nigrum L.
Part Typically used: Leaves
Extraction Method: Solvent extraction
Soluable: Alcohol and partly in oils
Country of Origin: France
Note: Middle
PLEASE NOTE: Black Currant Bud Absolute is intended for use in perfumery only.
Although Black Currant Bud Absolute is soluble in alcohol, it is only partially soluble in carrier oils. It does impart its aroma to carrier oils by gently heating both absolute and carrier oil separately before combining. When cooled, insoluble material will precipitate to the bottom, however the portion remaining will be highly aromatic.
