A powerful and versatile extract, Black Cumin CO₂ is prized for its warm, spicy, slightly bitter aroma and strong therapeutic profile. This extract brings depth to natural perfumery blends and is also widely valued in body care for its skin-soothing, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties. Blends well with Frankincense, Turmeric, Cedarwood, Patchouli, Myrrh, and herbaceous notes.
Great for use in skin and hair care formulations where calming, protective, and restoring properties are desired—especially in balms, serums, or oil-based blends. A little goes a long way due to its potency and aromatic strength.
How Black Cumin CO₂ Extract is Different from Cold-Pressed Oil
CO₂ extract retains a broader range of active constituents—essential oil compounds like thymoquinone and carvacrol—alongside the fatty acid profile. These compounds are largely absent or minimal in cold-pressed oil.
Offers more pronounced antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects.
Has a lighter feel and clearer colour than cold-pressed oil, with a stronger, spicy-herbal scent.
Ideal for both targeted skin treatments and aromatic therapeutic blends.
Production Notes
This certified organic extract is produced using supercritical CO₂ with no solvents, carriers, or additives—just pure, unadulterated plant material. Approximately 5.0–6.7 kg of dried seeds yield 1 kg of extract.
At room temperature, this CO₂ extract appears as a clear oil, yellow to brown in colour, and carries the distinctive, pungent aroma of black cumin seed—earthy, spicy, and warming.
Skin & Body Care Use
Dilute 1–3% into a carrier oil such as jojoba or rosehip for a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory boost. Helpful for blemish-prone skin, scalp health, and as part of soothing body blends for sore muscles or tired joints.
