Bees wax is a natural hydrating substance that helps retain natural skin moisture and alleviates itchy sensitive skin. It has a host of benefits, like healing, skin softening and anti-microbial properties.

Use: Bees wax works well in skin care products because of the wax esters that exists in both, the beeswax and human skin, these help bind and emulsify ointments and lotions.
Working With Beeswax (Optional Guidance)
Adding beeswax:
Helps harden the balm, useful for hot climates or stick formats
Adds a slightly more occlusive finish (great for lips or barrier balms)
Typical range: 4–10% of total formula by weight
General guidelines:
For a soft balm: use 2–3g beeswax per 50
For a medium balm: 4–5g per 50g
For a firm salve or stick: 7–10g per 50g
Always melt beeswax gently to avoid overheating and degradation.
Safety Data: Beeswax has an irritation level of 0 and a comedogenicity rating of 0-2, which means when used correctly in formulations it will not cause sensitivity problems or clog pores.
