Steam-distilled from the beautiful, star-shaped blossoms of the Cananga odorata tree, this premium Ylang Ylang Essential Oil captures a beautifully refined fraction of the botanical's aromatic profile. This oil is collected during the earlier stages of the uninterrupted distillation process, resulting in an incredibly lush, intensely sweet, and soft floral-balsamic aroma with a delicate hint of spice. It is slightly brighter and less heavy than the Complete grade, making it highly versatile for perfumery and holistic blending.

In cosmetic formulation and holistic skincare, Ylang Ylang is prized for its naturally balancing properties. It serves as an exceptional botanical active in facial serums, general skincare formulations, and targeted treatments for acne or irritated skin, helping to regulate sebum production. It is also an excellent botanical addition to hair care routines designed to promote healthy hair growth. In ambient diffusion and natural perfumery, its deeply sensual and exotic character connects powerfully with the emotions, actively helping to calm feelings of frustration or anger while acting as a profound tranquiliser for the nervous system.

Skincare Ritual & Well-being Applications: Within a holistic self-care routine, Ylang Ylang is universally revered as a profound emotional anchor. Diffusing 2–3 drops of this sweet, exotic floral oil naturally helps to ease the nervous system, calm a racing heart, and cultivate a deeply comforting, sensual atmosphere when recovering from shock, stress, or exhaustion. When elegantly diluted into a daily facial oil or a restorative scalp massage serum, taking the time to slowly breathe in these rich, balsamic notes transforms a functional grooming step into a deliberate, euphoric daily ritual that actively honours both your skin's natural balance and your deep emotional tranquility.

Formulation & Safety Guidelines:
Application: Designed for balancing cosmetic formulation, targeted acne and oily skin care, hair growth serums, natural perfumery, and emotionally grounding atmospheric scenting.

Formulation Note: This is a highly concentrated pure essential oil. For topical cosmetic applications, we strictly recommend a standard dilution of 1–2% in a suitable high-quality carrier oil (such as Jojoba Oil GoldenAlmond Oil Sweet, or Coconut Oil Fractionated) or a lipid-based cosmetic emulsion.

Storage: To preserve its lush floral botanical compounds and sweet aromatic notes, ensure the bottle is kept tightly closed. Store in a cool, dark environment away from direct UV exposure and extreme heat.

Safety: For external cosmetic and atmospheric use only. Do not apply undiluted to the skin and never apply to broken or highly irritated skin.
- Usage Caution: Due to its intensely sweet and heavy aroma, over-inhalation of Ylang Ylang can sometimes lead to mild headaches or nausea; always diffuse sparingly or in well-ventilated spaces.
- If you are pregnant, nursing, or under the care of a healthcare professional, please consult them before incorporating highly concentrated essential oils into your routine. Always perform a patch test on a small area of skin when trying a new diluted botanical product.

Zurma Essential Oils - Highest Quality Pure and Natural

At Zurma we go to great lengths to ensure that we only sell the highest quality pure and natural essential oils. We have searched the world for the best essential oils. Our in-house quality control system ensures that this high standard is maintained for all our essential oils. Every essential oil comes with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer (GCMS) test to confirm that they are genuine and authentic essential oils containing their correct active constituents.

The only exception to this is with the New Zealand small scale essential oil producers we buy direct from e.g., Lavender, Mānuka, Kānuka, Tea Tree etc. This is because we know and trust these growers who distil their own essential oils.

Finally, all essential oils have to undergo our own in-house smell, appearance and feel test and if they are not up to our high standards, we simply send the product back to the supplier. Based on this quality control process we believe that the 100% Pure and Natural essential oils that Zurma supplies to our customers are of the highest quality and are excellent for use in aromatherapy.
