Distilled from the fragrant leaves and flowering tops of the Salvia sclarea herb, this premium Clary Sage Essential Oil is universally cherished for its remarkably unique and deeply relaxing aromatic profile. It presents a complex, sweet, and herbaceous scent layered with warm, earthy, and softly musky floral undertones. Widely revered in natural perfumery and holistic care, it serves as a deeply grounding botanical that promotes a profound sense of calm and emotional balance.

In advanced cosmetic formulation, Clary Sage is highly prized for its naturally balancing and clarifying properties. It serves as an exceptional botanical active in targeted facial serums, scalp-soothing hair tonics, and restorative body oils specifically designed to harmonise natural oil production and comfort oily or stressed skin profiles. In ambient diffusion, its warm, euphoric character naturally eases the feeling of daily tension, creating a deeply tranquil and supportive atmosphere that is particularly comforting during times of high emotional stress.

Skincare Ritual & Well-being Applications: Within a holistic self-care routine, Clary Sage Essential Oil is universally revered as a profound emotional anchor, particularly cherished for supporting women’s general well-being and easing periods of overwhelm. Diffusing 3–5 drops of this sweet, earthy oil creates an incredibly relaxing, comforting atmosphere, making it the perfect botanical companion for quiet evening reflection or unwinding after an exhausting day. When beautifully diluted into a warm massage oil or an evening bath blend, taking the time to slowly breathe in these harmonising notes transforms a functional bodily care step into a deliberate, grounding ritual that actively supports both physical comfort and deep mental tranquility.

Formulation & Safety Guidelines:
Application: Designed for balancing cosmetic formulation, scalp care blends, fine natural perfumery, and ambient atmospheric scenting.

Formulation Note: This is a highly concentrated pure essential oil. For topical cosmetic applications, we strictly recommend a standard dilution of 1–2% in a suitable high-quality carrier oil (such as Jojoba, Sweet Almond, or Grapeseed) or a lipid-based cosmetic emulsion to prevent localised sensitisation.

Storage: To preserve its complex botanical compounds and warm herbaceous notes, ensure the bottle is kept tightly closed. Store in a cool, dark environment away from direct UV exposure and extreme heat.

Safety: For external cosmetic and atmospheric use only. Do not apply undiluted to the skin and never apply to broken or highly irritated skin.
- Contraindications: Clary Sage is widely known for its profoundly relaxing properties and should be entirely avoided during pregnancy. It is also recommended to avoid the use of Clary Sage when consuming alcohol, as its deeply relaxing nature can amplify the effects.
- Always perform a patch test on a small area of skin when trying a new diluted botanical product. If you are under the care of a healthcare professional, consult them before use.

Zurma Essential Oils - Highest Quality Pure and Natural

At Zurma we go to great lengths to ensure that we only sell the highest quality pure and natural essential oils. We have searched the world for the best essential oils. Our in-house quality control system ensures that this high standard is maintained for all our essential oils. Every essential oil comes with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer (GCMS) test to confirm that they are genuine and authentic essential oils containing their correct active constituents.

The only exception to this is with the New Zealand small scale essential oil producers we buy direct from e.g., Lavender, Mānuka, Kānuka, Tea Tree etc. This is because we know and trust these growers who distil their own essential oils.

Finally, all essential oils have to undergo our own in-house smell, appearance and feel test and if they are not up to our high standards, we simply send the product back to the supplier. Based on this quality control process we believe that the 100% Pure and Natural essential oils that Zurma supplies to our customers are of the highest quality and are excellent for use in aromatherapy.
