Why We Skip the Fancy Packaging
Share
At Zurma, you may notice our moisturisers, serums, and other skincare essentials arrive just as they are—no glossy boxes, no layers of tissue, no unnecessary frills. This is entirely by design.
Excessive packaging, while often visually appealing, usually serves little practical purpose. Once the product is opened, the outer packaging—cardboard boxes, inserts, decorative sleeves—almost always ends up in the bin. It’s a short-lived experience with a long-term environmental cost. Producing this kind of packaging requires additional materials, more energy, and often involves synthetic dyes and finishes that are difficult to recycle. It’s also expensive, and that cost often gets passed directly on to the customer.
By choosing not to use frivolous outer packaging, we’re reducing waste, avoiding unnecessary production processes, and keeping our environmental footprint as light as possible. Our bottles and jars are either recyclable or reusable, and we encourage customers to repurpose them where possible. It’s part of our broader commitment to sustainability and low-waste practices—from the ingredients we source to the way we ship your order.
We’d rather focus on what matters most: what’s inside the bottle. Our formulations are made with natural, high-quality, organic, and ethically sourced ingredients that deliver results for your skin—without the distraction or cost of luxury-style packaging.
Less packaging. More integrity. Just what your skin (and the planet) needs.
