Basil Sweet Linalool essential oil has a fresh, green, sweet and spicy aroma. This type of Basil Sweet oil has an excellent reputation, indeed perhaps the best, for being an aromatic nerve tonic. It clears the head, relieves intellectual fatigue, and gives the mind strength and clarity. Can also be helpful in providing relief from colds, flu and fever and menstrual and abdominal pain when massaged into the lower back, abdomen and hips.  A strong essential oil that needs to be used in low doses.

Description: Colourless – Pale yellow with a fresh, green, sweet & spicy scent.

Actions: Antispasmodic, Anti-Depressant, Antiseptic, Cephalic, Digestive Tonic, Carminative, Adrenal Stimulant, Nervine, Prophylactic, Diaphoretic, Febrifuge, Expectorant, Galactagogue, Emmenogague.

Special use: Basil is an excellent, indeed perhaps the best, aromatic nerve tonic. It clears the head, relieves intellectual fatigue, and gives the mind strength and clarity. Resembles Peppermint but hotter. Hot/Cold quality. Excellent for period pain.

Blends Well With: Bergamot, Clary sage, Geranium, Lime, Grapefruit, Citronella, Hyssop, Rosewood, Sandalwood, Yarrow, Jasmine, Lavender, Peppermint.

Safety Data:  Can be irritating to sensitive skin, Avoid in pregnancy. Do not use in high doses with children and the very sick. Used in low doses it is a tonic with a stimulating effect – however when used in excess it has the opposite effect. Not to be used in high doses.
