$45.88

Attar of Oud has a woody, animalic, rich, musky aroma. These constituents are all indicative of a good agarwood fingerprint.

Botanical Name:
Aquilaria crassna

Method of Extraction: Steam Distillation (distilled in sandalwood)

Parts Typically Used: Wood

Country of Origin: Cambodia

Class: Sesquiterpene

Description: Attar of Oud (Agarwood) Essential Oil is a fragrant dark resinous oil used in incense and perfume. It is formed in the heartwood of aquilaria trees when they become infected with a type of mold (Phialophora parasitica). Prior to infection, the heartwood is odourless, relatively light and pale coloured; however, as the infection progresses, the tree produces a dark aromatic resin, called agar. Agarwood (Aquilaria) tree is one of the most expensive raw perfume ingredients in the world. This Oud has been distilled in sandalwood to enhance the woodiness of the aroma.

Note: The product comes in a standard 10ml amber glass bottle, not the image shown as product photo.
