It is steam-distilled from the heartwood of the Nootka Tree, also sometimes known as Alaska Cypress or Yellow Cedar. It is named after the Nootka Tribe of the Pacific Northwest. The Nootka Tree is a majestic tree species commonly found growing in Canada.

 

ACTIONS: Antibacterial, Anti-inflammatory, Antiseptic, Antispasmodic, Astringent, Deodorant, Diuretic, Emmenagogue, Expectorant, Febrifuge, Insecticide, Sedative, Tonic.

NERVOUS SYSTEM: Energizing and uplifting, fatigue, stress, and negativity and is refreshing and energizing to the mind and the emotions.

RESPIRATORY SYSTEM: Congested and constricted breathing passageways.

SPECIAL USE: Natural insect repellent - is an effective natural insect repellent, with a single drop it is sufficient to chase away mosquitoes, flies, and other pests. This oil provides a rich deep woody note and adds more depth of character and boosts the overall impact of other oils.

BLENDS WELL WITH: Blends with Bergamot, Black Pepper, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, German Chamomile, Ginger, Lavender, Lemon, Mandarin, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Roman Chamomile, Scotch Pine, and Ylang Ylang. Recommended to be used in low doses as it is a very dominant scent - (10 times stronger than Virginia Cedarwood).
